Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI) has awarded SMS group an order for the supply of a complete steel production line, from the steelworks to the CSP^® plant and from the cold rolling mill to the galvanizing line for its Sinton location in the state of Texas.

With an annual capacity of 3 million short tons (2.7 million tons) of steel the plant's productivity is setting new standards.

The scope of supply also includes a DUMA-BANDZINK air knife system that homogeneously and precisely set the zinc layer thickness to ensure high surface quality.

The successful commissioning took place mid-2021.

ArcelorMittal Windsor is a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Dofasco and is one of North America's leading steel producers. Every year round about 500,000 t of sheet metal are galvanized for the automotive industry. The galvanizing line is one of the quality leaders in North America.

Due to the significantly improved maintenance and safety situation as well as the small space requirements of the components AM Windsor has decided for the new DUMA-BANDZINK brush roll and spray unit. The installation period is planned for December 2020.

This project is special for DUMA-BANDZINK as it is the first order for cleaning equipment based on the partnership between DUMA-BANDZINK and the Japanese company "HOTANI".

Our customer is a german steel producer, running a continous pickling line which is connected to a tandem cold mill. The line is capable to produce strip up to 6 mm thickness and 1.650 mm width. The annual production-capacity of the line is approx. 1,6 million tons per year.

The customer chose DUMA-BANDZINK to modernize the scrap-chopper. During a one-week shutdown, the existing scrap-chopping-system will be modernized with new equipment. The integration into the pickling line with regard to automation and safety technology, is part of the scope of supply.
This is a turnkey project in which the machine is handed over to the customer.

We offer new manufactured furnace rolls for strip processing lines, roll maintenance and regular inspections of the rolls while being installed in the furnace.

We deliver new rolls in coated condition according to customer requirements, based on the specification range provided by TOCALO. Our offer includes rolls with a major diameter from 800- 1500 mm.
