The integrated steelwork in Bremen is a very modern production facility which can produce more than 3.5 million tons of crude steel per year. The steelwork is part of one of the world's largest steel companies called ArcelorMittal. The company is a modern, integrated steelwork. All plants from pig iron production to thin sheet processing are united on the site. Regular investments are made, including in the cold rolling mill on the inspection line.

DUMA-BANDZINK received the bid acceptance for two projects. On the one hand, at an inspection line the strip entry will be optimized, so that the strip runs centrally into the side trimmer. This is done in cooperation with EMG width measurement.

On the other hand, a new side trimmer will be delivered to improve the cut result. The side trimmer has the following technical characteristics:

Edge width min: 5mm
Edge width max: 50mm per side
Positioning accuracy cutting gap adjustment: +/- 0.05 mm
Positioning accuracy Immersion depth control: - 0.02 mm

The delivery is planned for summer 2019.
